The open face on the Tour version combined with the shallower profile allowed me to work the ball, while the elongated non-Tour version did quite well at keeping my drives straight. My guess is XLS, Not sure if I would benefit with the red shaft or not — any ideas? I went with it on the recommendation of my club fitter, who said he thought I should get the Aldila because I have trouble getting the ball in the air with a 3 wood. I just played my first round with the HiBore XL yellow shaft No longer needed as I have sold my clubs and given up the sport.

Cleveland HiBore XLS Tour Driver Review – Golfalot

For anyone who might be thinking about getting a 3 wood HiBore to go along with the driver, think about an Aldila shaft. When i was at the driving range last night i got to hit Hibore Xl with the standard shaft.

My question is which do your recommend, std or tour for a 65 year old with a 19 handicap, My guess is XLS, I was so impressed I hlbor the 3 wood and the HiBore iron set. Loft and shaft combos have a lot to do with launch angle — as do our swings. This is a huge bonus for me as if I mis-hit my current driver I am in the woods. He hits his drive This is the first site where the XL is really talked about with such enthusiasm.

Kimg strength of my game is the cl ball while my achilles heel is my putting. A shaft change — higher kickpoint — may help you get the clubhead in a better position.
